Burlington consists of over 20 neighbourhoods that add up to the flavour of this shoreline city. Alton Village attracts young families with its two-storey houses and open floor plans, while Millcroft’s houses seduce bigger families by having big yards. If your goal is to restore a fixer-upper, Dynes is the place to go. But if you dream of having a modern condo – you will find it Downtown. Shoreacres mostly consists of 1950’s ranch-style bungalows, very different from Tyandaga’s traditional architecture.

Joseph Brant Hospital is the main health care facility in Burlington, alongside Halton Region Paramedic Services’ four paramedic stations.

Burlington public transport is presented with rail and bus services across the Hamilton metropolitan census area.

The closest commercial airport to Burlington is John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport. Burlington Airpark provides some charter flights, but it mostly serves general aviation purposes.
